Kitakinki Tango Railway is a third-sector railway that operates in the Tango area in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture and the Tajima area in the northern part of Hyogo Prefecture. It operates two lines: the Miyafuku Line, which links Fukuchiyama and Miyazu in Kyoto Prefecture, and the Miyazu Line, which links Maizuru in Kyoto Prefecture, and Toyooka in Hyogo Prefecture, via Miyazu.
Along our railway lines, there are beautiful spots such as Amanohashidate, reputed to be one of the three most scenic places in the whole country, and the area is known for its plentiful seafood from the Sea of Japan, which includes crab and yellowtail, as well as specialty products such as Tango crepe silk. The area is also attracting attention for the romance of its legends — particularly those from Mount Oe.
How about taking Kitakinki Tango Railway trains for an enjoyable trip in the Tango and Tajima areas?
